Synchronized Skating Team is offered to our Intermediate A and B and Senior A skaters.

 

It is important your skater skates all the sessions allotted to their level, so they receive training in all disciplines of figure skating.

Class Descriptions:

PreCan and Canskate: For skaters 3-12yrs of age. Provides a safe, inclusive first experience in the sport of skating. Develops skating and motor skills through natural learning phases; introduction, acquisition, retention and mastery. It fosters personal achievements and satisfaction through skill acquisition, rewards and recognition. It evokes an interest in life long participation in skating. Taught by Skate Canada professionals using circuits, a fast track and lot of on ice colorful learning tools to keep the program fun and active.

Pre-Power: Ages 4-6 Children will wear hockey gear and learn skating skills appropriate for their age in preparation for hockey play and power skating. Must have Level 2 Badge from Canskate. Bring hockey stick.

Power Skating: Ages 7 and up - Students wear full hockey gear including hockey stick. Students will learn how to do proper crossovers, backward skating, edges, stopping, turning, and improve their stamina.

Pre Junior: Completed Stage 4 of Canskate, an introduction to figure skating in a group format.

Juniors: Competing in Star 1 and an introduction to Skate Canada dance tests.

Intermediate: Competing in Star 2, 3, 4 and testing Skate Canada dance, freeskate and skills.

Seniors: Competing in Star 5 and above and testing in Skate Canada dance, freeskate, skills and interpretive.
